Compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) bring all the advantages of fluorescent lighting to an incandescent socket. CFLs provide comparable color rendering to incandescents, are four times more energy efficient, and have rated service lives up to 13 times longer (10,000 hours) which provides significant maintenance and replacement cost savings. Offered in both integrated and non-integrated models, many Havells CFLs utilize spiral glass design, allowing an easy fit in table lamps and other base down applications. With a CRI of 80 or more, they can be a direct and energy-cost saving replacement for the standard incandescent light bulb. Because CFLs use substantially less energy to produce comparable light to an incandescent source, incandescent bulbs can be replaced with CFLs that are generally one-fourth the wattage. For example, a 100 watt incandescent bulb can be replaced with a 26 watt CFL with no change in light level.
